I hereby give Double T My Permission...
... I do... I totally give Ted Thompson My Permission to Trade and or Cut Brett Favre. And here's why...
THE PACKER PUNDIT OPINION
I did me some soul searching today. In between bites of my Two All Beef Patties Special Sauce Lettuce Cheese etc. And I came to this conclusion. Ted Thompson needs my Permission to cut or trade Brett Favre.
Not just me of course... he needs All of PackerNation's support. Let's face it... If Double T tried to cut Brett without the fan's support... there'd be a sea of green and gold storming Lambeau with torches and pitch forks... and we'd be burning Thompson's effigy... roasting marsh mellows and eating brats.
So let me be the first... let me be the first voice in the wilderness crying out...
"Ted... if you Love us Packer fans... let him go!"
Wow! I Feel Better already... it's like my inner Packer Child has just found that perfect moment of Nirvana and Krishna just granted me Good Karma for Life.
Now I know what you're thinking... just another PlayahHatah drinking the Farve Hateraide... but Not so!!! There's not a bigger Brett fan than me.
Total Tool for Brett Favre Party of One here!
But let's quit fooling ourselves Packer buddies...
Brett aint showin' the Love back to us.
Now Double T is out again today... having to "Air-Wick" Brett's Latest debacle. Saturday's malodorous Non-News... News! (From the MJ Sentinel)
Thompson said Favre was not holding up the team. |
Nice try Teddy.
For whatever reason??? I think Chewy put it best... Selfishness!
Here's some more...
Note the Clinton-esque... "It depends on what the meaning of is... is."
"I don't know," Thompson said when asked if he absolutely had to know something before the draft. "What's absolutely, in life? Nothing's absolute. Brett and Deanna and his family are trying to make the right decision and I think they understand and I think he has even alluded to the fact that he's anxious to make the decision himself. |
Now I ask you... what other player in what ever sport would be able to pull this crap 2 weeks before the draft? I submit the list is a short one. Last night on the NFL Network's Total Access... Rod Woodson brought up the point that even the great Joe Montana... who won 4 super bowls for the 49ers... found himself "expendable" at the end of his career and with a back up QB behind him. (Steve Young of course) Now that's not of course to say that Aaron Rodgers is in Young's league... but who knows? I doubt too many people thought a kid from Kiln, Mississippi had Hall of Fame Potential when he was 0-5 his rookie year and backing up the Majik Man his second. And speaking of Joe and Steve and Don and Brett. I don't recall the animosity Brett showed openly when he told reporters... "I'm not here to groom Aaron Rodgers." I about hit the floor when I heard that. And no less than John Madden gave his weight to that statement.
Here's my take...
Every year Brett plays the "Gosh... maybe I'll play another year... maybe I wont" card on the Packers... so when Aaron Rodgers... who was considered a possibility to be the Over all Number 1 pick and a Franchise QB... fell into the Packers lap with the 24th pick of the first round... it would have been lunacy NOT to take him. C'mon Brett! Who whizzed in your wheaties?
Ted Thompson... you have my permission.
