Fast Start / Ugly Win
Any fair assessment of Sunday's glorious victory over the 'over-hyped' Eagles would come to the sane conclusion that the Packers won... as they say... UGLY!
Ugly defined as No tangible running game and Brett Favre reduced to completing passes laterally and whilst falling on his 'Future Hall of Fame' Buttocks. UGLY!
Yes Ugly in the form of having the Defense/Special Teams score more touches than the offense... actually scoring the only touch... and setting up two other scores. UGLY!
Ugly in that the Defense/Special Teams set the Pack offense up beautifully at mid-field late in the fourth quarter only to have the Offense (Favre) fumble the ball to our own 35 (easy peasey pickin's for Akers) and then rise back up again to throw the 'over-hyped' Eagles for a loss and forcing yet another punt... which of course our offense turned into another 3 and out... then punted... forced another turnover that set up Mason Crosby and gave us the win. UGLY!
Yet all that ugliness... all that vile... putrid... down right stinkyness on our Offense's part... would have led to a loss if not for the quick start our team exhibited.
M&M wanted the Packers to come out of the gate fired up and the Packers Defense/Special Teams did not disappoint. One team came out of the tunnel fired up and ready to punch the other team in the neck. One team said 'screw the prognosticators that said we don't deserve to even be in this game... we're the Friggin' Green Bay Packers Damnit... and this is our house... We Aint Havin' Any of That!'
McCarthy gave the game ball to Mason Crosby... I think we fans should give our own game ball out to Coach McCarthy and his staff... they had the team prepared and ready to play!
