And now... Aaron
It's almost 7 a.m. here on the East Coast... the Day After, and I've still not come to grips with Brett Favre's retirement. I've been watching the non-stop NFL Network love fest with Brett and I still can't believe it's all come to an end. It's bad... very bad.
But is it all bad?
Let me prefice this all by reminding you all that I'm a big Brett Favre fan. I present for evidence the first names of my three children... Brett... Favre... and ummm... little Kiln. And worse... I had all girls! So I don't want to hear it from anybody when I say...
Aaron Rodgers juuust might be better at running M&M's offense.
Now forgot about how well Aaron did versus the Cowboys last year. He was a change-up pitch to Brett's 103 mph fastball and I'm sure caught the 'boys off guard. Still, he was impressive. Aaron isn't as flashy as Brett... nor does he take Farve-like risks. But he is accurate (didn't he complete like 27 passes in a row versus USC) and unlike Brett... Aaron will take off with it and get you 10 to 20 crucial drive sustaining yards with his feet.
Of course DUH! If Brett Favre decides to un-retire... I'm gunna write a post about how great it is that he's returning and how we can win the Chanpionship riding on #4's back. But those are not the facts Jack. It is what it is... and Aaron is our future.
Oh... and just one more thing... Favre... like Moses... led us to the promised land. Do you all recall who replaced Moses when he died?
His brother Aaron.
I rest my case.

Thus it was and thus it is. And, of course, Moses never took them INTO the promised land, just right up close!
