Evidently I was wrong.
I was also wrong when I posted this...
Well guess what Packer Fanatics... now we can panic! As a matter of fact I'm thinking of getting one of those Panic Rooms like Jodi Foster had in that movie. That way when we get humiliated in ALL phases of the game by a team that finished worse than we did last year and who hadn't won a game at all this preseason. I'll have a nice safe 'happy place' to go to. Hells Bells people... the Titans only managed to score 22 points in three previous games until they met Coach Sanders generous helping of soft tacklers... corners that can't cover... and a defensive line that would rather bunch around in a pile than to... oh I don't know... put some pressure on the opposing quarterback! (more on that later)
Well... let's back this puppy up and break it down old school!
We started out just fine... the defense gave up 1 first down but then held and we took over the ball inside our 15. Brett hits a wide open Greg 'Javon Who?' Jennings and greased lightning scorched the Titan backfield for an 89 yard catch and run to the Titan 2ish. Next play... Ahman 'bust a move' up the middle and it's 7-zip Packers!Fershizzle muh cheeseheadizzles!
It's all good... It's all good!
That is... until the Pack defense again holds the Titans and force a punt... but here's where it breaks down. The other Ahman... Ahman Carroll goes off side on the punt and since it was 4th and 2... guess what... the Titans get the ball back. Okay... I promise no swears in this post but... &%#$#! What the ghost of Curly Lambeau was he thinking. How the fudge do you go off sides when you're blocking the effin' gunner!
I'm not a huge Carroll fan but neither am I a Carroll playa-hata... but pleaaaaaase! I refuse to accept this. It's not good enough! It's NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Hell we dumped Terril Buckley's ass for less offenses than Ahman 'I play with my hands' Carroll. Ahman... who never met a receiver he couldn't hold... has pushed me over the line... oh... and he got burnt real bad later in the game... NOT ACCEPTIBLE!
I am officially throwing my hat into the ring for the presidency of the Cut Carroll Club! Yeah... we might even make posters and yard signs like those Bush/Chenney... Kerry/Edwards ones!
How about we toss in Deadman dropping... Cory 'I got it... I got it... I don't got it' Rodgers as well. I mean... catch the damn ball Cory. He's got Steve Sax disease... remember how Steve Sax... all of a sudden... couldn't make a throw from second to first? Once that demon was in his head it was all over! I fear Cory is in the same boat. And he sure isn't Good enough to be the 5th or 6th receiver.
And while we're on the subject of Rodgerssss... what the hell (whoops) &%#$# happened to our backup QB? After looking crisp all through out the preseason and camp... after all the talk of... gee hasn't Aaron improved? He looked horrible today. And did you catch him bitching (damn...) &%#$# at his offensive line. When ever he got sacked or hurried he was spiking the ball into the turf and cussing them out. I saw one of the defensive players come over to Aaron on the sideline and try to encourage him but Aaron bitched him out too... you could see it in the players face... it wasn't appreciated.
Aaron... word of advice... watch Brett and how he handles adversity. You never ever see him blow up on a guy. Brett knows he'll need that guy later in the game to throw a key block or make a great catch. Karma Aaron... let the good in and the bad out!
And speaking of bad and Quarterbacks... Ingle Martin... c'mon... on 4th and goal you run out of bounds at the 3??? And that floater you threw for an interception... NOT GOOD ENOUGH!On the bright side (and it aint much).
Jason Hunter and Dave Tollefson played great! Especially Hunter. I don't know how bad Kenny Peterson is hurt (was taken off on a cart in 1st quarter) but possibly his injury will allow the Packers to keep them both. At least keep one on the roster and one on the practice team.
Triple T and M&M have to pair the roster down to 53 today...

Not in the cutting the roster down part... good luck in finding 53 NFL caliber players from the sorry group they had out there today! Not good Enough!
