Packers release wide receiver Boerigter
Wide receiver Marc Boerigter, a keen disappointment during training camp, was released this afternoon by the Green Bay Packers. Boerigter, 28, never showed the speed or big-play skill that the Packers expected. In limited playing time, he caught one pass for 19 yards in two exhibition games. Green Bay signed Boerigter on March 26 as an unrestricted free agent from Kansas City for $782,780 over one year. The contract contained a $90,000 signing bonus. Story>>
