WALKER'S DEAL
WITH DENVER

Denver is rumored to be paying Javon Walker $41 million over six years, with only about $1 million more in this, the last year of his current contract and a HUGE $10 million option to pay if they want to keep him in '07 and beyond.
Denver seems to have protected itself ...... however, there is the matter of the second round pick they gave up.
If Walker can't cut it and they don't pay the $10 million in '07, they wasted that draft pick.
What I think will happen is that it will all still be up in the air--a colossal decision to pay him the $10 million or not after a mediocre year at about 70% this season.
If I was Denver, I wouldn't have made the trade.
From the Packers POV, I'm glad they did.
Good job, Mr. Thompson.
