Coach Mike McCarthy was on ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning. Ya know I hate to say this but... dog gone it if McCarthy isn't making a believer out of me. He seems together... mature... thoughtful... and dog gone it... Head Coach Material!

He gave some insightful comments to the Mikes...

On the Javon Walker trade --
"I personally only talked to him one time... I never met him!"

Comment: Wow! That speaks volumes, doesn't it. Both the Mikes were stunned by that answer as was I. The authorative like way he said it gave me the impression that he was... "dissappointed in Mr. Walker" and that there was ZERO line of communication. I've already gone on the record as saying that... Hey... if JW doesn't wanna be here... let him go! As to his belly aching over what Brett said? Bite Me! First off you didn't open your mouth about it last year... if you were that mad you should have said so. Second... you didn't pull this crap until you felt Brett was in a position of weakness (your misjudgement) and it looked like he wasn't going to return. Well Javon... we all appreciate your time here in Green Bay but... don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya! Coach McCarthy then added...

"The situation happened in the past and needed to be resolved!"

It sounded a bit to me like Mike McCarthy had already resolved it as far as he was concerned. Case closed!

As to how the Packer draft went in his eyes?
"The board fell exactly as we wanted it to. We were able to create competition in every position we felt we needed to."

Colin Cowherd Loses it on National Radio

Well... not literally... but the self avowed Packa-hata actually made a confession... he actually said something nice about the Packers and he hasn't been able to do that in (according to him) 7 years! Colin, the host of ESPN's The Herd with Colin Cowherd, compared himself to none other than Milwaukee's own Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzirelli... when ever the Fonz couldn't verbalize that he was wra... wroo... wroooooong!

Colin admitted he was wra... wroo... wrooooong about the Packers and he even complimented the Packers on their draft prowlness. Of course he's been a Huge fan of A. J. Hawk all along but he was equally impressed with WR Greg Jennings, calling him a real steal! He said the Pack front office showed they were ready, had a plan and executed it perfectly. He even thought we got good value in the Javon Walker trade.
