Well paint me red and call me a barn but whoa...
We got's us some Trouble!
Right here in Fox River City (Green Bay)
With a capital 'T' that rhythms with 'B'
And that stands for Backs!
Okay... with all do apologies to Professor Henry Hill... I'm beginning to feel like Ted Thompson has just sold us a bunch of Band Uniforms and our guys don't even know how to play yet!
So here we are...
A mere 8 days until the start of the NFL Season and...
*Are best back from last year (Green) is playing for the Texans.
*Are top two backs (Morency and Jackson) are both dinged up.... Morency hasn't even seen a snap in preseason.
*Two more backs (White and Wynn) have little to no experience and are more of the 3 yards and a cloud of dust type... the later more dust than the 3 yards (If the Titan's game is any measure).
*Basically... we've got a converted fullback... Noah Herron (also slightly injured)... and a Rookie Linebacker (Hall) converted into a fullback.
So the best we can hope for is some 'quality' back to fall into our 'waiver wire watching' laps!
Oh yeah... we got Trouble!

Packers short on healthy RBs

NASHVILLE — Though there were no immediate indications that Noah Herron's knee injury was serious, the Green Bay Packers might have as great a need as ever for an extra halfback before the start of the regular season. With Brandon Jackson (concussion) and Vernand Morency (patellar tendon) out for Thursday night's game at Tennessee, Herron was the starter, but injured his knee while getting tackled on a touchdown catch in the first quarter. Herron remained the sideline in uniform the rest of the game. The Packers' only other injury was backup safety Tyrone Culver, who sustained a sprained shoulder while returning a punt. More >>
