Whoa (Opinion)
Whoa! That's what I keep telling myself. It's only the preseason. It's just two games. The Pack is off to a great start (relatively speaking) but it's way to early to be shopping for Super Bowl tickets. Whoa!Whoa! I'm fighting my inner Green and Gold demons that whisper... 'Pick James Jones and Brandon Jackson for your Fantasy League draft... and take the Packers defense while you're at it!' But then... like a cold shower of reality... it hits me. That was Senaca Wallace fumbling and tossing picks like it was Christmas last night and not the veteran Pro Bowl QB Matt Hasselbeck. That was two 'Not Ready for Prime Time' scrubby O-Tackles doing their worst impression of a Bull Fighter (Ole') and not the Seahawks starting Duo. I mean c'mon... seven sacks!!! Whoa! Six turnovers including two the Pack 'D' took to da howse! Double Whoa!
And what of Messrs Jones and Jackson? Okay... yeah... that was the Sqwauks regular defense that Brandon sliced and diced for 6-8 yards at a clip... and powered through the heart of for a one yard score. Yeah... that was the veteran 'D' that... just two years ago played for the Championship... that Rookie Third round pick James Jones scored on twice... and looked like a young Jerry rice doing it! Whoaaaaaaaaa!
And who was that wearing #88 and the Bubba Franks mask? Is our Pro Bowl TE back? Can anybody stop Cullen Jenkins? Just how good is Hawk gunna be with a year under his belt? And Blackmon... how can I forget to mention 'Will the Thrill' and his blazing Hester-like returns? Whoaaaaaaa!
Yeah Yeah... it's just the preseason.
