This is a Test
This Juuust A Test
Packer Pundit / Patrick Stuckey
I have me a little stat counter and it tells me all sorts of neat and interesting things about the peeps that come and visit this site. Now mostly I try not to pay attention to the number of hits or page loads I get. I mean... it's not all that many... it's somewhere between 'Britney Spears Official Web Site' and 'Cooking with Cabbage: the other white vegetable'.
With that said... the one thing I do keep my eye on is the number of returning visitors I get. It seems I have a core audience of between 30-50 a day with the average coming in about 41. Now this figure goes up and down and you can track it (much like the Dow Jones) on how successful the team is doing. Like when the season started I was getting about 40-50. When we lost the first 2 games it dropped... picked back up after the Lion game... and had dropped down to the low 30's again. I totally understand... my interest peaks when they play well and dips when the suck... its human nature.
Now before I go any further let me say this...
Thank you!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you faithful Packer fans that have found interest and use in this web site. And... thank you for the people that have contributed articles to this web site.
I really appreciate all of you!
Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes
I'm sure you regulars have noticed I keep changing the look of this web site. See the dealeo is this... when I first started I couldn't find the proper look I wanted. You can only do so much with a 'free' site and my template options were kind of limited.
When I first started I used the 'fixed Brett Favre pic' in the back ground's lower corner. I liked this look but the problem was if I had an image that had a white border (for padding) it looked stupid as you'd scroll down the page and it stood out when it passed over the background pic. Then about 2 months ago I found this cool looking template that had the Green Side bar... I thought it was great... then I found out it looked like crap on other resolutions (I'm old school... I still use 800x600). Also... my friends at Packer Chatters pointed out to me that with different browsers (they use Foxfire) it was practically unreadable. The horror!!!
Just last week I found the current look... it's what I've been looking for since I started. Snazzy (is that a word) java script 'mouse overs' for the links... huge posting area (a whooping 500 pixels baby... I'm used to 450)... and it looks great in all resolutions and browsers... at least from what I can tell it does.
Which brings me to this... this is what's it's supposed to look like.....
If it doesn't look something like that on your comp... please let me know. You can leave me a comment... or email me (see contact link above).
Once again... Thank you... you make the 1-3 hours a day I spend on this web site ALL worth it!
