NAJEH DAVENPORT
REPORTEDLY TO SIGN
Well as I predicted HERE when the Pack lost Tony Fisher. It seems the Packers will be signing Najeh Davenport to a one year deal. I will admit I'm pleased with ths move. Najeh is a good down hill runner when health as he proved against the Rams two years ago when Ahman Green went down.
Davenport will sign the contract Monday, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Najeh had been talking to the Raiders and Dolphins but wanted to stay in GB.

RAIDERS FREE AGENT WOODSON
TO VISIT PACKERS
I don't know how serious we are about signing the former Heisman Trophy winning Cornerback but...
Hells Yeah!!! It could Hurt!
I'd love to see him and Dreadlock-man clamping down on the Norris divsion wide outs. Maybe we can even get him to return kicks like he did at Michigan.
Link and story from Packer Chatters: Free agent cornerback Charles Woodson, 29, visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but did not sign with the team because he will visit the Packers this coming week, agent Carl Poston told the Tampa Tribune.
NFL EUROPE (Yaaawn)
Green Bay Packers cornerback Therrian Fontenot had two interceptions and wide receiver Chris Samp, a Green Bay Preble High School graduate, caught six passes for 68 yards Saturday in the Rhein Fire’s 22-0 victory over the Berlin Thunder in an NFL Europe game in Berlin.
Samp is a former Packers player now property of the Carolina Panthers.
Packers quarterback Brian Wrobel played in a relief role for Berlin. He was 4-for-13 passing for 40 yards and had one pass intercepted. (Story from Post Gazette)
