Packers: No Need for Alarm
Team Brass Comfertable with Personnel Choices
The Green Bay Packers might be moving too slowly in free agency to suit some critics but the team's decision-makers steadfastly maintain they're operating in prudent fashion.
With two weeks of free agency under their belts, coach Mike McCarthy and general manager Ted Thompson say the team is better now than it was.
"We've had some losses," Thompson said. "But I think we've helped ourselves a little bit in free agency. I don't think just because you have cap room you need to go out and spend a lot of money on players that aren't worthy of that money. We might do some more before it's all said and done."
Might be Moving too slowly???
Yeah and... Terrell Owens Might be a little disruptive to your team and... Rickey Williams Might like to Smoke a little Pot now and then!
Don't even get me started on "the team is better now that it was" crapola!! I'm not drinking the Kool-aide Double T!!!
"Some believe you win games in April,"
McCarthy said.
"I don't share that belief."
"I think you've always got to try to get better."
Well Mikey... how's 'bout you win your FIRST game before you tell us your strategery as to when to start winning. Bill Parcell's Cowboys signed Terrel Owens... Mike Vanderjagt and Jason Fabini to Free Agent Contracts. Of course Bill's only been to 3 Super Bowls and won two of them.
